Child Safety Standards

Mutu is an invite-only community app for verified members of the University of
Toronto and Rotman network. Muturing has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse
and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes
the standards and measures we maintain to keep our community safe, in line with
Google Play's child safety standards policy.
Our commitment
- We strictly prohibit any content, conduct, or communication that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or abuses children (anyone under 18).
- Mutu is intended for adults (18+). Our stated target audience is 18 and over, and access is restricted to invited members of a verified adult professional and academic network.
- We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and grooming, and we act on violations by removing content and terminating accounts.
How to report a concern
Anyone can report content, a message, or a user directly inside the app:
- Use the Report option available on posts, profiles, and conversations in the app.
- You can also block a user to stop all further contact.
- To report a child-safety concern by email, contact us at privacy@muturing.com.
How we respond
- We review reports of child-safety violations promptly and remove violating content.
- We suspend or permanently ban accounts involved in CSAE.
- We preserve relevant information and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the appropriate regional and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant local authority, as required by law.
Legal compliance
We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where Mutu is
available, and we cooperate with law-enforcement requests as required.
